Firefighters from Moline honored their fellow servicemen, both retired and fallen.

On Saturday, May 18 a service was held at the Firefighter Memorial on Ben Butterworth Parkway.

The Moline firemen spoke about the importance of remembering their comrades and what it means for the department.

“It’s important that we do these memorial services to just remember those that came before us,” said firefighter and paramedic, Patrick Busenberry. “Everything that we have today is because of them. They kind of paved the way for us.”

Firefighters, family, and friends were there to honor them and thank them for their service.
