I was given the keys to my new place Friday night. My new landlord was kind enough to give me the keys so that I could begin cleaning and painting before I officially move in next month. I signed a lease, checked for any minor damages on the property and went over the house rules.
One of the rules stated that the yard had to be kept up and mowed. That’s a very reasonable request and I wouldn’t have it any other way. In fact, I’m looking forward to being able to mow the yard in the summer. I love the warm weather and just enjoy being outside this time of the year.
I’ve never cut the grass a day in my life. My boyfriend promised and didn’t need much convincing that he would teach me how to do it. Once or twice a week though? I had never realized that’s how often grass was cut. I don’t even want to think about what it will be like to shovel snow out of the driveway come winter. How does anyone do it?!
