Teen struck by train in fair condition

After being hit by a train in Milledgeville last week, a teenager is reportedly in fair condition.

A nursing supervisor said the boy’s condition was upgraded Wednesday, May 15.

The 15-year-old boy from Chadwick was walking over Elkhorn Creek with two others on Friday, May 10 when the incident occurred.

He was struck by the westbound train and rolled down a 50-foot embankment. According to Police Chief James Haag, the boy suffered multiple injuries.

The other two escaped without injuries.
