Four Iowa kids, including two ten-year-olds, are accused of using rocks and BB guns to torture a small dog.
A neighbor reported the boys threw rocks and fired BB guns at a small, black dog that was chained up in front of a home in Des Moines on Sunday, May 12, 2013.
The neighbor says when she told the boys she was calling police, they swore at her before finally leaving the injured animal.
The dog survived injuries that included bleeding around its eye. The extent and exact nature of the animal’s injuries were unclear.
Four boys – two ten-year-olds, one 12-year-old and a 13-year-old, were each charged with animal cruelty. Their cases were being handled by Polk County juvenile authorities.
