Police say a 15-year-old boy was taken to the hospital after being struck by a train.
According to Milledgeville Police, around 7 p.m. on Friday, May 10, three minors were walking on BNSF tracks on a railroad bridge over Elkhorn Creek on the east edge of Milledgeville, Illinois when a westbound train struck one of them.
Chance Casares, 15, was taken to a hospital in Sterling and later moved to Rockford for treatment of multiple injuries.
The two others escaped without injuries, according to police.
