Some local elementary students could be getting a head start on careers as our next great robot designers.
As part of a science unit on machines, third graders at Mark Twain Elementary School in Bettendorf, Iowa put their imaginations to the test to make robots.
The students were challenged to construct robots to make their lives easier. The students also wrote descriptions of their robots and their capabilities.
Teachers Jan Sebastian and Nicky Stevenson helped the students display their works at the school Friday, May 10, 2013. This was the second year for the Robot Fair at the school.
