News Eight's Good Morning Quad Cities relived its adventure to Six Flags Great America Friday morning.

The morning crew went up to Gurnee, Illinois Thursday. As previously reported, Six Flags held its annual media day to show people about the new twist to its Batman Ride.

Riders got to the park before 4 a.m. Thursday to get a sneak peek of the coaster. Six Flags offered a limited number of fans a free ride for the day.

"I think it's awesome," fanatic Johnnie Richie said at 5:30 Thursday morning. "I've ridden it four times already,"

The ride takes you up a hill about 100 feet in the air, and once you get to the top, you immediately start falling. The ride goes 55 mph.

Tickets cost $42 per person this summer if you buy your tickets online. Six Flags Great America is located at 1-94 and Grand Avenue.
