A school in Davenport turned in old scrap metal in exchange for new supplies.

Del’s Metal Company in Rock Island collected scrap metal for All Saints Catholic School and plan to write a check to the school.

On Friday, May 10 people were invited to drop off unwanted metal to the school for Del's to collect.

Money from Del’s will go toward new math books and technology.

“It’s a win-win,” said school principal, Jeanne Von Feldt. “It’s great for the environment and it’s a wonderful fund raiser for our school.”

If you have unwanted scrap metal you can drop it off at the school or at Del’s in Rock Island from 8 a.m. – noon on Saturday, May 11.
