A 78-year-old man and two people in their fifties are charged in connection with the alleged sale of bath salts and other synthetic drugs out of a shop in Galesburg, Illinois.

Police said they served search warrants Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at two Galesburg homes and at Main Street Games and Tobacco, 914 East Main Street in Galesburg.  That’s when they seized about $9,000 in cash, bath salts and other synthetic drugs plus drug paraphernalia, computer equipment and documents.

Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan said more than $9,600 worth of K2 and bath salts from Main Street Games and Tobacco in April 2012.

During the May 8 investigation, two Galesburg men were arrested and each charged with unlawful distribution of a misbranded substance.  The store owner, 78-year-old Donald Brackett and Richard Groom, 55, were each held in the Knox County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bond.

Lisa Moyer, 55, of Kirkwood, Illinois was also arrested and faced the same charge.  She was jailed in lieu of $150,000 bond.

Police said they expected more charges to be filed in the case.
