Moline High School gave a presentation called Operation Prom aimed at getting students to think about making safe choices on prom night.
Students at the school acted out the tragic scene of a deadly car crash, complete with real emergency responders acting along just like it was a real scene.
The point of the display was to show students what a real-life situation could look like; to get them thinking about the consequences of poor decisions.
Moline senior, Aubrey Simons was one of the student actors. She played a victim in the accident.
“I thought it would be cool to touch the lives of others when I died and affect people that way,” said Simons.
Operation Prom is held every year as a reminder to students to play it safe on prom night.
