(CNN) — Now that we’re eight weeks in to this season of “Dancing With the Stars,” the field of competitors is tightening up.

On Tuesday’s elimination show, “Bachelor” Sean Lowe was the latest star to get trimmed from the cast.

It wasn’t surprising, given his dismal score on Monday. The reality star and his partner, Peta Murgatroyd, earned a mere 42 out of 60.

“I’ve enjoyed every second of [this experience],” Lowe told People magazine. “I truly am blessed to have taken part in this with all these stars. … What an incredible opportunity.”

On the positive side, the elimination does mean that Lowe will have more time to plan for his wedding with fiancĂ©e Catherine Giudici, whom he chose to marry on the last season of “The Bachelor.”

“The only thing I’ve told her is I want it to be a big party,” Lowe told E! News. “I want to have fun, family and friends coming together to celebrate, so I think we’re going to accomplish that.”
