Police said it took a few hours but they caught a man they think is responsible for an armed robbery in Silvis, Illinois.
Police said a man went into the QC Mart at 1440 First Avenue in Silvis just after 5 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013. The man was reportedly armed with a gun, and he demanded money from the clerk.
The man left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police said they arrested 18-year-old Dujor Simpson, of Carbon Cliff, Illinois, about six hours after the robbery.
Police said they planned to file armed robbery and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon charges against Simpson.
Court records show Simpson was on probation for other felony convictions at the time of the robbery.
Simpson was held in the Rock Island County Jail.
