Just as flood waters were falling the last week of April, the Mississippi River is forecast again to rise above flood stage in the Quad Cities.
The Mississippi River in Rock Island was at 14.7-feet at 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, according to the National Weather Service. The levels are forecast to hit the flood stage of 15-feet early next week.
The Mississippi River at LeClaire at 4 p.m. Saturday was 9.7-feet. The flood stage is 11-feet.
At 15.5 feet, water enters LeClaire Park. Several sections of South Concord Street south of River Drive in Davenport and homes on Enchanted Island are also affected at that level.
The Rock River at Moline was slightly above flood stage at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and is forecast to continue falling.
