Ashford University will hold its spring commencement ceremony indoors this year.

Last spring, a big thunderstorm came in before the ceremony, cancelling thousands of parent and student plans. This year, the university will not risk that situation.

Ashford will hold meet and greet festivities on Saturday in Clinton, but Sunday, parents and students will head down to Moline's i Wireless Center. An estimated 10,000 students and parents will converge on the Quad Cities this weekend.

Ashford also used the i Wireless Center for its fall graduation ceremony on October 14th. As many as 10,000 people can sit in the arena.

The meet and greet festivities start at 11 a.m. Saturday on the Ashford University Campus. Sunday's Commencement ceremony starts at 10 a.m. in Moline for the undergraduate students.

The ceremony starts at 3 p.m. for the graduates. To see more about the event, click here.
