A piece of Quad Cities history has come home to Moline.

A Massachusetts couple with ties to the Quad Cities donated a 1921 Velie touring car to The Rock Island County Historical Society.

Velie made about 100,000 cars in Moline.  Just over 200 of those cars are still around.

“It's great to have this car back where it belongs.  Home sweet home in Moline.  So now we have a car where people can come from our community and see what was made in our area,” said Bobbi Jackson of the Rock Island Historical Society.

The Velie will be housed in the Carriage House museum, and you can see it during regular business hours.
