An Iowa woman faces a child endangerment charge after she allegedly recorded and posted video of her brother lighting himself on fire.

Amanda Jo Erks, 21, of Waverly, Iowa was arrested Monday, April 29, 2013.  She was charged with one misdemeanor count of child endangerment.

Police said Erks admitted she posted video on Facebook that showed her 15-year-old brother spraying himself with cologne and then lighting himself on fire at a home in Cedar Falls.

Erks can reportedly be heard in the video saying, “Please don’t try this at home, we are professionals, we’ve been doing this forever.”

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reported police learned of the incident in mid-April.

Erks’ one-year-old daughter was reportedly in a crib about five feet away from the teen as it happened.

Online records show Erks was released from the Black Hawk County Jail the day after her arrest.
