The Seaton and Reynolds Volunteer Fire Departments are putting on their first Rescue Run Saturday.

Firefighters and other athletes are expected to compete Saturday. There are 21 different obstacles to do on the course. The Stop, Drop and Crawl Obstacle and the Fireman's Carry are two of them.

The fire departments are not recruiting fire fighters to join their forces. The Hoffmann family wanted to bring a mud obstacle race to the Quad Cities, and now they've finally done it. All of the proceeds of the event go to the Seaton and Reynolds Fire Departments.

120 people are expected to show up Saturday. The race takes place on the Hoffman farm in the 1500 block of 200th Street outside of Aledo.

The race is this Saturday at 8 a.m. It costs $75 to register. Parking costs $5. To register, click here.
