$500,000 bond set for woman accused of shooting Alpha man

The woman arrested in connection with a shooting in Alpha, Illinois remained jailed in lieu of a half-million-dollar bond.

The woman arrested in connection with a shooting in Alpha, Illinois remained jailed in lieu of a half-million-dollar bond.

Robin Atchison, 29, was arrested after police were sent to investigate a reported shooting at an apartment in the 500 block of South First Street before dawn Tuesday, April 30, 2013.

A man who was shot remained hospitalized and was last listed in critical condition.

Atchison made her first appearance in Henry County, Illinois Court Wednesday, May 1, 2013.  She was formally charged with one county of being a felon in possession of a firearm and one count of reckless discharge of a firearm.  Both charges are felonies.

Court records show Atchison’s bond was set at $500,000 and that she was appointed a public defender.

Atchison was scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing May 6.
