For residents looking to start on some landscaping a local park held a plant sale.
Friends of Vander Veer Park prepared for the event at the conservatory in Davenport that had plants available for park-patrons and nature-fanatics.
“Saturday morning they were waiting at the gate to come in. It’s so gratifying to see all our hard work come to fruition,” said volunteer Carolyn Hamilton.
The group began organizing for the event in December 2012.
According to volunteer Ruth Ottesen, profits from the sale all go right back to benefit the park.
