Iowa residents are among the people who feel the least stressed in the U.S.
That’s according to Gallup’s Wellbeing poll results issued this week.
Nationwide, 40.6% of Americans polled reported feeling stressed the day prior to answering the poll. In Iowa, 38.1% reported feeling stressed the previous day.
That makes Iowa the state with the fourth-lowest stress level in the country.
Other low-stress states included Mississippi and Louisiana. Hawaii reported the lowest percentage of respondents saying they felt stress the previous day.
The study ranks Illinois the 28th least-stressed state.
The five most-stressed states were Massachusetts, Utah, Kentucky, Rhode Island and West Virginia.
