Even the flooded river front in Davenport couldn’t keep people from gazing at the high water levels.
As the deepening Mississippi River moved along, people stood safely in the Skybridge and watched. They said they were in awe of the rise in water levels in the last 24-hours.
“I’m sure there are people along this river that are hurting right now so I worry about if anybody’s getting flooded out or losing their property,” said Tom Morpith from Atlanta, Georgia. “I know how destructive they can be, but it’s the mighty Mississippi. What can you say? It’s awesome.”
Authorities remind flood-viewers to stay safe and be mindful of posted signs in the area.
