In honor of Earth Day an annual event was held for some “Good Green Fun!”

The 4th annual Eco-Fest in the Bohemia District of Cedar Rapids gave people the opportunity to spend time with friends and family while learning ways to go green, according to an event co-chair and coordinator.

Eco-fest provided activities that helped teach ways to save energy (and money) by changing daily habits and being more aware about recyclables versus trash.

Supported by over 20 area arts and environmental organizations, Eco-fest is all about helping to create a healthy and vibrant community, according to event co-chair Mike Wyrick.

Along with music throughout the day, families enjoyed a Nature Play Area, tours at Water Tower Place, an Eco-Market including vendors and demonstrations, exhibits like recycled art sculptures and soy candle-making and more.
