After high water closed streets for nearly a week, some roadways were reopening as rivers receded following flooding in the Quad Cities and surrounding area.
Bettendorf officials said conditions along the Mississippi River and the closure of River Drive caused them to cancel service on the LOOP bus from Thursday, April 18 through Sunday, April 21.
Iowa Side:
The Iowa Department of Transportation said US- 61/67 is closed between Iowa 22 and I-74 in Davenport because of flooding Thursday, April 18, 2013.
River Drive remained closed from Highway 22/Rockingham Road to Tremont Avenue as of Tuesday, April 23. Businesses along River Drive were still accessible.
Bettendorf city officials planned to reopen River Drive at 6th Street by noon Tuesday, April 23. River Drive will be open to Mound Street in Davenport, but truck traffic will continue to be detoured up 14th Street until further notice.
Illinois Side:
The Illinois Department of Transportation said IL-26 southbound ramps to I-80 near Princeton are closed in Bureau County due to flooding. North Broadway is closed at Cleveland Road in Henry County also due to flooding.
In Moline, N. Shore Drive and S. Shore Drive are closed from 23rd Street to 55th Street.
In East Moline 13th Street is closed from 3rd Street 5th Ave. River Road off Coaltown Road is also closed.
In Carbon Cliff North First Ave. is closed at the railroad tracks and from 12th Street to State Street.
66th Street North and 320th Street in Hillsdale are closed.
Route 150 was closed south of Route 6 along the east side of the Quad City International Airport because of flooding. Traffic was detoured around the west side of the airport to Milan or on 78th Street east to First Street in Coal Valley.
The steel dam was under water in Milan.
Illinois Route 164 was closed at the Henderson County Covered Bridge between Gladstone and Oquawka. Illinois Route 94 was also closed at Henderson County Road 1950E.
