According to the Galesburg Police Department, 18-year-old Tyson Twitchel lost control of his car while heading eastbound on Main Street around 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 13.

Galesburg Police say after crossing the intersection of Main and Henderson Streets, the car traveled across the westbound lanes of West Main and into the Aldi Food’s parking lot before coming to a rest in the 600 block of West Main Street.

A car stopped at a red light was struck by the vehicle, but the passengers were not injured, according to police.
