A race in Geneseo benefited local schools and the event set a good example for the kids.

Funds from the Live Uncommon Spring into Spring Fun Run went to Geneseo elementary schools and parents got to participate in a healthy activity with their children.

"I think I always feel good to show the kids that the parents can get out and exercise and stay fit," said participant, Chad Nelson. "On top of it, it's for a good cause."

The event on Sunday, April 14 had four different races for participants to join.

The run is part of a series of races all benefiting a different cause.
