Teens charged for Davenport robbery and car theft

Two Davenport teenagers face criminal charges in connection with a robbery and stolen car reported at a dry-cleaning business.

Police said Crescent Cleaners at 1301 N. Harrison was robbed just after 1 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2013. The suspects reportedly took a vehicle from the business when they fled.

Police spotted two people running from the vehicle near 1300 E. 39th.  They caught both suspects after a foot chase.

Curtis Devon Westerfield, 19, and a 15-year-old boy were arrested.  Police said both were charged with first-degree robbery and second-degree theft of a motor vehicle.

Westerfield was released from the Scott County Jail after his $25,000 bond was posted.  The 15-year-old was held at the Scott County Juvenile Detention Center.
