Cars damaged by BB gun vandals

Police say three people drove around Moline and East Moline shooting a BB gun at other cars.

Three people are accused of breaking windows and doing other damage by shooting a BB gun at cars in Moline and East Moline, Illinois.

Lyssa Richardson, 17, of Aurora, Illinois; Aung Gyaw, 18, of Rockford and Ler Htoo, 22, of Aurora were arrested in East Moline Friday, April 5, 2013.

Police said their investigation began when one person reported their car was hit by a BB in the 5400 block of Fourth Avenue in Moline.   Police later determined Richardson, Gyaw and Htoo fired a BB gun at other cars in Moline and East Moline, breaking eight car windows and causing other damage to vehicles.

No injuries were reported.

They have each appeared in court and posted $10,000 bond apiece before being released from the Rock Island County Jail.  Online court records show they each face two felony counts of criminal damage to property.

The three suspects were each appointed a public defender and all three were scheduled to appear in court again April 16.
