Voters say “no” to Mercer Carnegie Library Bonds

Mercer County voters decided against issuing bonds to the Mercer Carnegie Public Library District.

Mercer County voters decided against issuing bonds to the Mercer Carnegie Public Library District.

Nearly $3 million in Library Bonds would have been given to the library to use for improvements, to buy equipment and library materials, and for electronic data storage and retrieval facilities.

The vote was 42-percent “yes” with 658 votes and 57-percent “no” with 881 votes.
