Mercer County residents voted in favor of a sales tax increase to benefit schools.
The 1-percent “penny” sales tax, will be used exclusively for school facility purposes.
58-percent (2,353) of voters said “yes” and 41-percent (1,667) of voters said “no” to the question on April 9, 2013.
