Rock Island County votes “yes” on Big Island proposition

Rock Island County voters decided they will allow a property tax levy increase for the Big Island River Conservancy District.

The levy will be increased to .75- percent.

The vote was extremely close with 52-percent (24) voting “yes” and 47-percent (22) voting “no.”
