Henry County says “yes” to sales tax for schools

Henry County voters decided they would accept a 1-percent sales tax increase to benefit schools.

Henry County residents voted in favor of a school sales tax increase.

The 1-percent “penny” sales tax, will benefit local schools within the county’s nine school districts.

54-percent (4,202) of voters said “yes” and 45-percent (3,442) of voters said “no” to the proposition on April 9, 2013.
