Tuesday, April 9 is election day in Illinois.
Voters in several counties will elect community and regional school trustees. Voters in area counties will also elect people to fill a variety of municipal and township administrative, council and board positions.
Voters in the 2nd congressional district will also vote to fill the vacant seat left by the resignation of Representative Jesse Jackson Jr.

Some counties will post unofficial local election results online. Results are expected to be certified by the state board of elections April 20, when the official results will be posted online at http://www.elections.il.gov/.

JoDaviess County voters will also decide an electrical aggregation issue.

McDonough County voters can see ballot issues and election results for all precincts online – click here.
Mercer County voters will decide a 1% retailers’ occupation tax and a service occupation tax to help fund school facilities. Voters will also decide whether to allow $2.8 million in bonds to be issued for building repairs and improvements to the Mercer Carnegie Library District.
Ogle County voters will also decide a concealed carry issue, a retailers’ occupation tax and electrical aggregation. A complete list of ballot issues they will decide and election results online – click here.
Rock Island County voters will also decide a tax levy increase for Big Island, Proposition 2 to expand powers of the county public building commission, and Propsition 1 which decides whether to maintain single-member districts in the county. Whiteside County voters will decide whether to impose a 1% retailers occupation tax to help fund schools, whether to combine the East Coloma Elementary and Nelson Elementary school districts, and an electrical aggregation issue. Election results will be posted online after polls close – click here.
