Over one thousand runners and walkers got up this morning and took advantage of the beautiful Sunday, all while helping out a long-standing cause.
Gilda’s Club held its 15th annual Run for Laughs 5k and Fun Run in Bettendorf on April 7.
The organization provides a place to go for help and support for people affected by cancer.
“Most of us are impacted by cancer and it’s amazing how many people don’t know about Gilda’s Club, so this gets our name out in the community,” said Race Director, Sue Kaiser. “It gets people familiar with the Gilda’s Club name.”
Kaiser also said that Gilda's Club appreciates the outpouring of support from the community.
