Deputies Capture Escaped Clinton County Inmates

Two inmates have been captured after they escaped from the Clinton County Jail.

Update: Police captured Kyle Julian on Highway 30 just west of Lowden in Cedar County on Monday just after 12 a.m. Julian was held at the Clinton County Jail on a charge of Escape from Custody. His bond was set at $5,000.

Update: Police captured Kendrell Keith at 11:49 p.m. on Saturday, April 6.

The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office said Keith was found in the 1500 block of Camanche Ave. in Clinton. Keith was held at the Clinton County Jail on a charge of Escape from Custody.

His bond is set at $5,000.

Two inmates have escaped from the Clinton County Jail in Clinton, Iowa.

According to the Clinton County Sheriff, Kendrell Antonio Keith, and Kyle Charles Julian, both age 18 escaped at 4:40 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2013.

Clinton Police officers and deputies are searching in the area north of the Jail. Citizens have reported seeing two men running in that direction away from the jail located on the 200 block of 7th Avenue North.

Orange colored jail clothing was found in that area.

Keith is described as a black man, 5’10”, 125 pounds wearing his hair in cornrow dreadlocks. He was being held on charges of Theft 2nd Degree.

Julian is described as a dark skinned man, 5’9”, 175 pounds. He was being held for a Probation Violation.

If anyone should see the men it is advised that you do not approach them. Police are unaware of their intentions.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office at 563-242-9211 or 9-1-1.

A cash reward of up to $1,000 may be given for information leading to the arrest and capture of the escapees.

The Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation.
