Three men have been arrested in connection with the death of Lee Albert Jump.
According to the Rock Island Police Department, Gene E. Whitney, 44, of Silvis has been charged with first degree murder; Shane M. Howard, 39, of Rock Island has been charged with first degree murder and concealment of homicidal death; and Terry J. Engels, 51, of Silvis has been charged with first degree murder and concealment of homicidal death.
Jump’s body was found on Wednesday, March 27, near 31st Avenue Park in Rock Island. It was determined that Jump sustained a single gunshot wound to the head.
Police say arrest warrants were obtained and all three men are being held in the Rock Island County Jail.
