Nearly 2,000 East Moline homes were without power after a truck reportedly backed into a power line.

The wreck happened just before 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at the Git-N-Go station on Avenue of the Cities at 12th Street in East Moline.

A truck was reportedly backing up at the gas station when it struck an overhead power line.

Homes between 12th and 9th streets were without power for about an hour.
