Bettendorf

Yard waste collection is free and does not require stickers from Monday, April 1 through Friday, April 19.

The City of Bettendorf will collect leaves, twigs, and grass only if they are packed in brown paper bags.

Residents are welcome to bring yard waste to trucks under the I-74 Bridge from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays April 6, 13, and 20.

Bettendorf residents are reminded that no burning is permitted in the city limits.

Davenport

Free yard waste collection begins Monday, April 1 and ends on Friday, April 19 during “No Sticker Weeks.”

According to the City of Davenport Public Works, during this time no stickers are required.

Curbside yard waste must be placed in paper bags and branches must be bundled with twine. The maximum size of a brush bundle is 5-feet long and must not weigh more than 50-pounds.

Stickers are not required for bundled brush at all this season, but stickers are required after April 19.

Yard waste will be picked-up on your regular garbage collection day.

Davenport residents have the option to drop off yard waste free of charge during “No Sticker Weeks” at the Davenport Compost Facility.

Moline

Yard waste collection begins Monday, April 1 and runs through Friday, December 13.

According to the City of Moline Public Works, bagged lawn waste must be in a biodegradable paper bag that is 30-gallons or less. Bags must have a city yard waste sticker attached.

Stickers may be purchased for $2 at most hardware and grocery stores in Moline and at the Finance Office.

The city will pick up brush trimmings or tree limbs only if they are tied into bundles no more than 4-feet long and 1-foot wide.

Yard waste collection will be on the same day as your regular garbage collection day.

If you have brush that is unbundled or larger than approved size, a payment of $140 will be required.

Avoid placing waste under low wires or near trees or poles.

Waste piles may be any size, but any branches must be no larger than 4-inches in diameter.

Rock Island

Free leaf collection will be provided by the City of Rock Island beginning Monday, April 8 and ending Friday, April 26.

Leaves must be placed in approved paper yard waste bags, using your own bags or ones provided by the city.

Waste bags must be placed at your regular waste collection location and will be picked-up the same day as your normal garbage collection day.
To have your leaves collected, residents do not need to be participants in the Yard Waste Subscription Service and no stickers are required.

If you do not have proper collection bags, the city will provide them at no cost beginning April 1.
