Davenport's Duck Creek Golf Course opens at 11 Friday morning for the first time this spring.

Many courses have been closed across the Quad Cities because of the winter snow, but that has melted. Duck Creek workers were out at 6 Friday morning getting the course ready for the afternoon.

The course will not allow golfers to use carts Friday because the ground is still too wet. The course will be open to walkers only.

Golfers as young as eight can use the course. Tee-times start at 11 a.m. Fees cost $19 Friday and $21 Saturday and Sunday.

TPC Deere Run has tee-times are open at 11 Friday and Saturday morning according to its website. The website for the Saukie Golf Course in Rock Island shows that it is not open yet.
