Autopsies confirm cause of death for fire victims was smoke inhalation

Sherrard fire victims’ autopsy results have shown the cause of death from an early morning fire on Wednesday, March 27.

According to the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office the autopsies performed on the five victims confirmed their cause of death was smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire that took the lives of a mother and four children is under investigation.
