Body of missing Davenport man found

The body of a Davenport, Iowa man who disappeared in Florida has been found.

Mark Polaschek, 49, was reported missing after he didn’t return from a solo boat trip he took Friday, March 22, 2013 while he was vacationing with his wife and son in Key Largo, Florida.

The boat was found the next day.

The Monroe County, Florida Sheriff’s Department confirms the Coast Guard found Polaschek’s body late Monday afternoon, March 25.  The body was found off the coast of Key Largo.

His identity was confirmed Wednesday, March 27.

“It was unclear what happened to Polaschek, however detectives say they found no obvious signs of foul play on board the vessel,” according to a statement from the sheriff’s department.
