The healthcare informational tour, “Medicaid Madness” visited Iowa cities on Wednesday, March 27, 2013.
The tour is inspired by a group of organizations that came together and launched the “Healthiest Iowa Initiative.” These organizations are scrutinizing Branstad’s current Medicaid plan, “The Healthy Iowa Plan.”
According to a spokesperson, group members are touring to get the word out, encouraging Iowans to sign a petition asking Branstad to accept the Medicaid expansion.
The tour visited Davenport, Mason City, Cedar Rapids, and Ottumwa.
