Davenport shooting victim ends up in jail

A man shot during a fight in Davenport was treated for his injuries before he was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Police said they were called to a fight in the area of 600 West 63rd Street just after 11 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2013.  People had reported run from the area after a gunshot was heard during the altercation.

Davon Antwan Wright, 26, suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.  He was taken to an area hospital where he was treated and released.

After the hospital released him, police said they arrested Wright.

Wright was charged with assault in connection with the altercation during which he was shot.  He was also arrested for an outstanding warrant for domestic assault impeding air/blood causing injury and domestic abuse assault stemming from an incident that happened Saturday, March 23.

All of the charges are misdemeanors.   Jail records show Wright was released from the Scott County Jail after bond was posted.
