Brackets are filled out and games have begun. It's March Madness time and while sports fans look forward to every year, dozens of business owners in the Quad Cities are cashing in on all the fun.

"It's just an awesome time of year to be a sports fan,” says Danny Hill.

March Madness is a fun time for sports fans, but a busy time for local businesses.

"We get a lot of people in, because we have a lot of TV’s here and we offer pretty much all the games,” says Amber Renard, an employee at Caddy’s Sports Bar and Grill in Bettendorf.

Across the river in Illinois, it’s been just as busy.

"It's always good for business when our local teams you know do well,” says 20 Sports Bar and Grille owner Missy Reddish.

Missy even had to put more employees on the schedule, "We actually have a person who has remote control duty so she goes around the TV's trying to make everyone happy,” says Missy.

Some Illini fans got there hours before the Illini game on March, 22, 2013 to make sure they got a good seat.

"I wanted to have a seat at the bar for three hours in advance before the game started,” says customer Zach Olson.

For sports fans it’s all about the environment.

"When you get those buzzer beaters and the big upsets, the whole bar erupts and uh makes for a while different experience,” says customer, Derek Rotz.

"You look around there's games on different TV’s, umm the food, the food is great,” says Danny.
