Area Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts are kicking off their annual food drive this weekend.

Troop 109 out of East Moline and Silvis have already begun hanging tags on residents doors, asking for donations of non-perishable food items.

The donations will go to Christ United Methodist Church in East Moline, which supplies food to over 5,000 families each year.

If you received a door tag donation request, you can leave items at your door step for pickup this weekend.  You can also catch the Scouts this weekend in Moline, at either the Hy-Vee on Avenue of the Cities, Fareway or Walmart.  They will also be at the Hy-Vee in Rock Island.
