Wind and water challenge firefighters at Cambridge house fire

The challenge of fighting fire at a house in rural Cambridge, Illinois was intensified by windy weather and the need to truck water in to the rural location.

Fire was reported at a house in the 11500 block of N. 1500th Avenue just before noon Wednesday, March 20, 2013.

Firefighters arrived to find most of the top floor of the home in flames.

No one was inside the home at the time of the fire.  No injuries were reported.

Firefighters from Osco, Cambridge and Geneseo fire districts worked the fire.

The cause remained under investigation.
