Photos: Police say man stole six flat screen TVs

For the second time in two days, someone allegedly stole flat screen televisions from the Wal-Mart in Sterling, Illinois.

Police were sent to the store at 4115 E. Lincoln Way just before 8:30 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2013.

A store employee told police a man used an emergency exit when he took six flat screen televisions, worth more than $7,000, from the store.  The man and at least two accomplices reportedly loaded the TVs into a dark-colored minivan and left the store.

Images of the suspect and the van were captured by surveillance cameras.

Another man allegedly walked through the front entrance of the store Saturday, March 16 with a television for which he had not paid.  Store surveillance cameras captured images of that man as well.

Police said similar thefts have been reported in the past few weeks at Wal-Mart stores in Peru, Ottawa and other locations in northern Illinois.

A reward of up to $1,000 is available for information that leads to an arrest in the case.  Anyone with information is asked to call Sterling Police at (815) 632-6640 or Whiteside county Crime Stoppers at (815) 625-7867.
