A Cedar Falls store clerk accidentally shot himself in the hand as he was taking a handgun from his pants.
Radio Iowa reports 22-year-old Jeffrey Fox was working at B&B West convenience store near the University of Northern Iowa when the shooting happened just before 11 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2013.
Fox reportedly told police he was taking a handgun out of his pants when the weapon fired. Fox was shot in the hand, and he was taken to a hospital in Iowa City for treatment.
There were no customers in the store when it happened.
