QC residents celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the parade
The Quad Cities St. Patrick’s Day parade started in Rock Island Saturday and ended in Davenport.
Many residents showed their Irish spirit by dressing up in green and clovers for the holiday.
Parade walkers waved to people on the sidewalks as they passed out candy and wished all a “Happy St. Patrick’s Day” as they crossed the Centennial Bridge over to Iowa.
The QC St. Patrick’s Day parade is the country’s only parade of the holiday that travels through two states.
