A $1 million Lottery prize was collected three days before its expiration.
An attorney representing the Chicago-area winners presented raffle ticket number 413224 in Des Plaines on Thursday, according to an Illinois Lottery spokesperson.
The million dollar ticket was purchased in the 2012 St. Patrick’s Day Millionaire Raffle drawing at TJVS Marathon in Wood Dale. Still, 27 raffle prizes of $1,000 remain unclaimed. Prizes from last year’s raffle expire at midnight on March 17, 2013.
It is recommended that players who bought a ticket in last year’s raffle check the Illinois Lottery website to see if their ticket is one of the winning numbers.
The 2013 St. Patrick’s Day raffle is underway and tickets are available. 509 winners will be selected.
