Seven people were arrested in connection with a police investigation that targeted alleged heroin traffickers working between Rockford and Dixon, Illinois.

7 arrested in heroin trafficking sting

Seven people were arrested in connection with a police investigation that targeted alleged heroin traffickers working between Rockford and Dixon, Illinois.

Investigators from a drug enforcement unit called the Blackhawk Area Task Force identified and arrested seven people on a variety of drug-related charges.   The task force includes members of the Dixon, Sterling and Kewanee police departments as well as the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Department and Illinois State Police.

Three arrests happened February 26, 2013. Police said they were Samantha Spencer, 25, of Franklin Grove, Illinois; Trevor Glenn, 21, of Dixon and Nicholas Howard, 21, of Rock Falls.  All three were charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (heroin).

Four more arrests, all of people from Dixon, happened March 1, 2013.

Police said Melissa Evans, 33, was charged with unlawful criminal drug conspiracy, two counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (cocaine) and unlawful possession of a controlled substance (hydromorphone).

Angella A Schultheis, 32, was charged with criminal drug conspiracy and unlawful possession of controlled substance (cocaine).

Heather Wilcox, 29, was charged with possession of a controlled substance (hydromorphone).

Jeralyn Allen 51, was charged with criminal drug conspiracy, unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (cocaine), unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (hydromorphone) and unlawful possession of a controlled substance (heroin).
